File Preparation & Artwork Guidelines

Proper file setup is critical to ensure your prints come out clean, sharp, and ready to press. At Ta-Da Imprints, we follow a strict production workflow—we print exactly what you upload, so preparing your artwork correctly will prevent errors, delays, and poor results.

File Format Requirements

  • Use PNG with transparent background for best results
  • High-quality PDF files are accepted if properly formatted
  • Avoid JPG files unless absolutely necessary, as they often include backgrounds and compression issues

Resolution & Quality

  • Submit artwork at 300 DPI at final print size
  • Low-resolution files will result in blurry or pixelated prints
  • Do not upscale small images, as this reduces quality
  • Always export your design at the correct size and resolution

Sizing Your Artwork

  • Set your design to the exact size you want it printed
  • We do not resize or scale artwork during production
  • Incorrect sizing will result in prints that are too small or too large
  • Always double-check dimensions before uploading

Background & Transparency

  • Use a transparent background for clean edges
  • Any background included in your file will be printed
  • Remove unwanted backgrounds before uploading

Color Setup

  • Design in RGB color mode for best color output
  • Colors may vary slightly due to printing and material differences
  • Avoid overly dark or low-contrast designs that may lose detail

Spacing & Layout

  • Keep proper spacing between designs to avoid overlap
  • Ensure elements are aligned exactly how you want them printed
  • Do not rely on automatic adjustments—your layout will be printed as-is

Text & Fonts

  • Convert all text to outlines or shapes before exporting
  • This prevents font issues or missing text during printing
  • Ensure text is high resolution and not rasterized poorly

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Uploading low-resolution images
  • Submitting files with non-transparent backgrounds
  • Incorrect sizing or proportions
  • Designs placed too close together or overlapping
  • Expecting edits or corrections after upload

Final Reminder

  • We do not edit, resize, or fix files
